About Black Diamond Kennel
We are a German Shepherd breeding kennel located in Northern Indiana about 65 miles East of Chicago. We started raising German Shepherds in 1996 and our fascination with the breed led us to explore all aspects of the German Shepherd. The dogs of the former East Germany (DDR), to us represent what we believe is the ideal German Shepherd; courageous, strong in character, good temperament, big bone structure, large blocky heads, and yes - the beautiful dark pigments and colors.
Our 100% DDR dogs are bred for the betterment of the breed and to continue the 100% DDR bloodline. Our kennel also includes Czech working bloodlines. Our puppies go on to become family pets, Schutzhund competitors and Police/service dogs. We offer puppies and young adult prospects. Occasionally we will have a tittled male or female for sale so please check the site often.
If you are looking for a particular DDR bloodline or color, we can assist you by importing your dog. We can ship by air from South Bend, Indiana, or Chicago, Illinois. We also offer personal delivery to a limited geographical area and you are always welcome to pick up your new puppy or dog here at the kennel.
